About Shwedagon Pagoda

The Shwedagon Pagoda is located to the west of Kandawgyi (The Royal Lake) on the Singuttara hill. The golden Stupa stands at 321.5 feet. And the spire of the stupa is made of pure gold with huge diamond at the tip of the spire. The spire itslef is embedded with precious gems, including diamonds, rubies and sapphire.
